Charles Shaw
Charles F. Shaw, III‘s practice is located in Spring Lake, New Jersey and provides legal services to clients throughout the State, but primarily in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
The primary focus of his practice is litigation, which includes civil matters such as personal injury, criminal matters, Municipal Court, and DWI. He also practices in the Family Court, which includes domestic violence complaints. Other litigation includes Chancery and Probate matters. Mr. Shaw also prepares Wills, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
He was a former Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor, and was a Municipal Prosecutor for a number of years in the Township of Neptune, the Borough of Allenhurst, and the Village of Loch Arbour. He has also been the Public Defender in Neptune City, Neptune Township and Wall Township, and is presently the Public Defender in Spring Lake and Spring Lake Heights.
Mr. Shaw has been a member of the Bar since 1974 and has been in private practice since 1979. He is a Member of the State Bar Association and has been a Member and Trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association for a number of years. He is a past Board Member of the Ocean/Monmouth Legal Services Corporation, and is presently a member and former President of the Monmouth County Legal Aid Society.
